Conceived on Wreck Beach, Vancouver, Canada…
#kimonostyleMy takeaway from a fleeting and ill-fated romance on Wreck Beach, Vancouver, Canada in the summer of 2021 was that everyone enjoyed his Kimono Style Cover-Up and often asked him from where it was procured.

Born on South Beach, Miami Beach, Florida.
Boutique in a BagA few months later, I found myself in Miami Beach, on South Beach, with 30 Kimono Style Cover-Ups in ‘Rosie,’ my pink Northface backpack (or ‘boutique in a bag’) and a dream…9 days after I arrived in Vice City, my dreams were crushed along with my right ankle, which suffered severe blunt force trauma. It would be 6 months before I could even walk again, so I returned home to heal and admittedly, hurt.

The summer of ‘22, still unable to walk on sand let alone climb up and down the notorious 500+ steps to Vancouver’s Wreck Beach, I participated in markets and festivals with the help of my remarkable “Rodies” Arnel & Thomas, who sometimes had to carry or pull me in a cart to my Cabana’s location.

#kimonostyleIt would take another Winter season in Canada for me to be strong and brave enough to return to Miami, where I had literal unfinished business. November ‘23 saw the successful relaunch of Wrecked Kimono on South Beach. We are finally back where it all began - at Wreck Beach for Summer ‘24! Thanks to all our clients from Miami to Vancouver and everywhere in between. Stay gorgeous!
